The Whitecastle New Urban Fund is a private equity fund that forms the real estate arm of the
Whitecastle group of companies. Founded by A. Ephraim (Eph) Diamond, a prominent real estate
developer in 2008 as a limited partnership, as a co-founder of Cadillac Fairview Corporation Limited, Eph
served as Chairman and CEO until 1979 and continued on the Board of Directors and the Executive
Committee until the company was sold in 1987. He was appointed as an Officer of the Order of Canada
and introduced into the Canadian Business Hall of Fame in 1988, He unfortunately passed away in 2008
but the company continued on to be an innovative power in the real estate industry.
